Legendary Golfers

The Center for Transforming Lives is raffling off framed and autographed photographs of Ben Hogan and Byron Nelson posing on the 18th green of the Colonial Country Club for The Dallas Morning News golf preview section in 1992, the year in which each turned 80-years-old. The photoshoot is believed to be the last time that Hogan and Nelson were photographed together.

Photographer David Woo's efforts got these two old friends and champions back together for this photo shoot. After the first photo, as Hogan and Nelson turned and headed back toward their cart, Woo noticed Hogan extend his right arm and offer help to the pained Nelson. Woo grabbed one of his cameras and captured the duo as they slowly ambled together for most likely the last time.

Both photographs are signed by Byron Nelson and Ben Hogan.
